Suttons Creek Increases Its Systems Engineering Talent Pool
Suttons Creek is growing its systems engineering team, seeing an increased Pharma client need for outsourced consultants with this particular combination product expertise. Our two newest specialists came on board last month, and we look forward to the contributions they will add to our clients’ successes.
Jasiah Sta. Maria joins Suttons Creek as a Senior Consultant, reporting to Technical Director Jonathan Amaya-Hodges and bringing over 8 years of experience in device and combination product development and lifecycle management. His experience includes project management, supplier oversight, lifecycle management, QMS, and other activities related to combination products for various types of injectable products (co-packaged kit, prefilled syringes, pen injector, infusion devices, lyophilized product systems, and implantables) utilized for rare diseases. Jasiah holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from San Jose State University and leverages previous roles as a device engineer and project manager to ensure successful project execution.
Alan Humphrey, an R& D and Product Development specialist, joins Suttons Creek under Technical Director Albana Thorpe as Principal Consultant, bringing more than 10 years of experience in the Medical Devices, IVD/Diagnostics and Combination products industries. Alan received a B.S. in both Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has led successful programs in a wide range of applications, including complex electromechanical systems (Dialysis machines, Surgical robotics), implantable devices (Catheter-Based Delivery Systems, Vascular Access Catheters, Stents) and combination products (On-body injectors, Infusion and Insulin Pumps, Pre-filled syringes, Autoinjectors). As both an individual contributor and technical lead, Alan is passionate about diving into programs and working collaboratively to find creative solutions that meet the needs of each individual technology, client or platform.
“The addition of Jasiah and Alan to our talent pool only strengthens Suttons Creek’s ability to offer full lifecycle support for Pharma’s combination products,” says Amaya-Hodges, noting that not every consultancy has subject matter experts that can support a combination product’s development at every stage from strategic planning through postmarket activities. “Jasiah adds proven industry experience in rare disease programs, which are being pursued more often given attention and regulatory incentives, while Alan brings strong device design experience including in complex systems and the types of drug delivery products we often support,” Thorpe continues, commenting that “These are qualities we know will be appreciated by our clients.”
