Suttons Creek Hires Courtney Evans, Our Third Former FDA Reviewer
Suttons Creek is excited to announce our newest team member, Courtney Evans. With over eight years of experience in medical device and drug delivery development and regulation, four of which were spent at the FDA as a Reviewer and Team Leader of injection device combination products, they will be reporting to FDA alumni and SCI Technical Director Carolyn Dorgan and joining their previous FDA colleague Max Lerman, PhD, as a Principal Consultant. This trio will be playing an integral role in setting our internal regulatory strategies and supporting on client teams to achieve fastest time to market for new combination products.
Courtney earned their B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University, B.S. in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana, and M.S.(c) in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. They began their combination product career as a test/quality engineer, supporting medical device programs and process improvement initiatives. And, while at the FDA, Courtney was actively involved in policy development of connected “smart” drug delivery devices, on-body delivery systems, emergency-use injectors, and implantable infusion pumps.
Carolyn is thrilled to have her FDA colleague on her team, stating that “Courtney’s passion and natural proclivity for complex combination product regulatory strategy was evidenced in the excellence of their work at the FDA and in the knowledge and best practices they have shared with the global regulatory community when speaking at various international conferences. We – and our clients – are lucky to be able to bring Courtney to Suttons Creek.”
